The Murai family crest, "Sangashiwa," can be seen on the Renaissance-style front porch where the Ionic gateposts stand.
The top of the iron door of the arched entrance is framed in gold with the family crest of three oak leaves in a row.
The unique design of the family crest is surrounded by intersecting branches of an oak tree and a bountiful olive tree.
This design was also used in the dining room of the time (now the French restaurant Le Chêne).
