Accommodation

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in : 15:00-21:00
Check-out time: ~11:00
Please confirm at the time of reservation as it varies depending on the accommodation plan.

Is parking available?
A
Approximately 10 cars are located at the main entrance on the east side of the building.
Advance reservations can be made for a fee of ¥4,400 (tax included/night) for overnight guests only.

Can my child stay with me?
A
Please note that children under 12 years of age (not elementary school students) are not permitted to use or accompany children during afternoon tea at Hotel Chorakukan, French Restaurant "Ruchene" and Dessert Cafe Chorakukan.

Can my pet stay with me?
A
We are sorry, but we do not allow guests to accompany you.

Do you have wheelchairs available for rent?
A
Wheelchairs are available for use in the museum.
The number of cars available is limited, so please consult with us when making your reservation.

Can I use the Internet in my room?

Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and the lobby.

We are planning to use the restaurant for anniversaries and birthdays.

We can arrange for a whole cake or bouquet according to your request and budget. Please consult us at the time of reservation.

Are cabs stationed there?

Room service is available only for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage menus.

About Meals

Can you accommodate food allergies in restaurants and cafes?
A
If you contact us in advance, we will use other ingredients.
Please note that we may not be able to accommodate your request if it is made on the day of the event.
Please note that some items, such as café menu items, cannot be changed.

If I make reservations for consecutive nights, will the meal plan change?
A
Whenever possible, we will prepare a meal that is different from the previous day's meal.

Is there a dress code?
A
Please refrain from wearing damaged jeans, sandals, or other overly casual attire during dinner time at Le Chêne French restaurant.
There is no dress code at Dessert Cafe Chorakukan.

Can I use the restaurants and cafes without staying overnight?
A
Le Chêne" French restaurant and "Dessert Cafe Chorakukan" are also available for use by non-guests.
Library Bar "Madeira" (Open.17:00-22:00) is for the exclusive use of hotel guests.

Can I use a private room in the restaurant?
A
Private room private dinner plans and banquet room banquet plans are also available.

Payment

Do you accept credit cards or electronic payments?
A
Various credit cards (Visa / JCB / Mastercard / American Express / Diners Club) are accepted. We are sorry, but we do not support electronic payment.

What is the lodging tax?
A
This tax is applied when you use accommodations in Kyoto City.
A tax of 200 yen to 1,000 yen per guest per night will be levied depending on the amount of stay.

What are the cancellation fees for restaurants and cafes?
A
As a rule, 100% of the cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations made on the day of the event.
Some plans and courses have a separate cancellation policy, so please inquire at the time of reservation for details.
If you are more than 30 minutes late for your appointment and cannot be reached, we may cancel your appointment.

What are the cancellation fees for lodging?
A
In principle, a cancellation fee of 201 TP3T of the room charge will be charged from 7 days prior to the check-in date, 301 TP3T from 3 days prior to the check-in date, 401 TP3T from 2 days prior to the check-in date, 501 TP3T from the day before the check-in date, and 50% from 12:00 on the day of the stay.
100% of the room charge will be charged in the event of no-show without prior notice of cancellation.
If each plan has its own cancellation policy, the cancellation policy of the plan will take precedence.
