01 Furniture
Hand wash basin and corner table (furniture designated as a cultural asset) [KYUGI NO MA].
The "KYU-GI-NO-MA" is a semi-basement room that was used as a billiard room at the time.
As you enter the room, a small washroom remains on the right side as you face the room.
Although the water does not run through it now, it was used in those days when hands were soiled with chalk used during billiards.
The simple but beautifully decorated corner table was formerly used in the dining room, and is a piece of furniture designated as a cultural asset by the Supplementary Designation of Cultural Properties.
It has a marble top and casters on the feet, and is still utilized today.
